SacraMentor Series
Most Series observe the following timetable:
Sundays, 2:00 PM - 5 PM unless noted otherwise noted for 3 meetings followed by the
Saturday Sanctum 9:00 AM - 7:00PM (usually ending with Mass and a meal)
Series Information
The SacraMentors series introduces men and women to a renewed relationship with God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The series centers on Catholic teaching and is in compliance with the Church's magisterium.
The series consists of three separate presentations, usually on three successive Sunday afternoons, followed by an all-day Saturday session. As the series progresses, the group binds together through small and large group discussion. The four-part series covers:
Opening ourselves to listening
Why we do the things we do - and wonder why we do them
Our true identity and our relationship with God
Parent wounds
Grudges and Forgiveness
Living your faith journey with action response
The call to be a blessing and to bless
The Ego and the "True Self"
The "Holy Instant"
On the final Saturday, those attending the series are presented a unique small-group process designed to deepen friendships among group members and to develop a closer bond with Christ. This process is also a vehicle for growth and self-examination. The series ends with a Mass on the final Saturday followed by dinner and a closing ceremony.
Selected leaders who have completed the program, and who have received special training, present the talks. They perform this as a service to God and receive no compensation.
The fee for the year 2005 series is $50, payable on the final day of the series. This fee covers all materials along with dinner on Saturday night. A fee is necessary to keep the organization afloat and to expand our ministry. Any donations above this amount are appreciated and will help us to bring more men and women closer to God and to one another. No one will be turned away because of lack of funds. We invite you to pay whatever you can. Our goal is to reach as many men and women as possible.
If your parish would like to participate, we invite you to first attend a series at a nearby parish. Then, after the series is over, you and those attending, can form a small group that will meet in your own parish. Your parish group is then invited to sponsor a series at your parish. If there is an active group at your parish (those listed on the "Participating Parishes " page), please attend any of the series programs nearby. After completing the series you will be welcomed into your SacraMentor parish community for continuing on with weekly spiritual meetings.
Repeat series are free for SacraMentors who would like to attend. This is a wonderful way to deepen your understanding of the materials and return to your group with a renewed perspective.
If you want to get a feel for what SacraMentors is about, you are invited to attend one of the large gathering "SacraMentums" as these meetings are open to everyone. There you may ask questions about the program and talk to other men and women who have been through the program.
Please come join us. You will make some wonderful new friends and you will deepen your relationship with Jesus as you allow the Holy Spirit to work within you to touch you and those around you.
